LOUISVILLE, Ky -- Registration for students entering the Jefferson County Public Schools is a completely online process now the district is bringing online registration to local neighborhoods. The goal is to make sure students are properly registererd before the first day of school.
An "App Mobile" hits the road Monday afternoon on the first of many trips into Louisville neighborhoods to assist people with registration. The first stop will be at the Western Public Library on Tenth St. from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Information on future locations is avilable at www.jcpsky.net.
The App Mobile will have six laptops available for people to use to register their children along with staffers to assist parents with the process. Parents only need to provide proof of residence to enroll their children, such as an LG&E bill, paycheck stub, or a letter regarding public assistance.
