Just a couple of months after losing a loved one, Mick Jagger is now celebrating new life.

The UK's Daily Mail is reporting that the Rolling Stones frontman became a great-grandfather over the weekend with the birth of his granddaughter Assisi's first child.

The 21-year-old new mom is the daughter of Jade Jagger, Mick's only child with his first wife, Bianca.  And Assisi's newborn daughter, whose name hasn't been announced yet, is just the first of two special deliveries the Jagger family is expecting.  Jade is also pregnant with her third child, who is due in a few weeks.

Back in March Mick's longtime girlfriend, L'Wren Scott, took her own life just days before the Stones were to kick off their Australian tour.  The band has rescheduled their trek "down under" for the fall.  The Stones are set to relaunch their "14 On Fire" tour in Norway next week.

Congrats to Mick and family!
